The Fire ( Northwest Passage # 4) By: John A. Heldt Genre: Adventure/History/Touch of Romance Publisher: John A. Heldt , 2013 I received a complimentary copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. When recent college graduate Kevin Johnson joins his family in Wallace, Idaho to clean out his late grandfather's house he finds more than he bargained for. It leads to a hidden treasure and a diary that takes him on an adventure- way back to 1910 Wallace. And while there he gets more than he bargained for. This is a sequel to The Journey but also includes cameos from Joel and Grace from The Mine and The Show. I liked that element. I found the book to be entertaining and hard to put down. I recommend all The Northwest Passage Novels.     Visit John: Facebook Goodreads Go on! Get 'em today, they're very reasonably priced.  Lisa

My Thoughts: * received this free in exchange for an honest review. This book is filled with a quirky cast of characters with a screwball plot. But underneath it has a compelling message. A fun read.     About the Author: Shelly Frome is a member of Mystery Writers of America, a professor of dramatic arts emeritus at the University of Connecticut, a former pr...

E-book format 408 pages Published by Enchanted Forest Press September 2012 Synopsis:  Leoros doesn't have many friends. He's moved around a lot due to his mother's work. But when his mother finds an emerald tablet that transports him to another world named Potara he finds out it's his destiny to be that world's savior. There he meets Atlantia- a slave girl he ends up befriending. With her help hopefully he can save the world he's come to love. My Review: This book is a mix of sci-fi/fantasy/adventure with a touch of romance. It also has Ancient Egyptian and Greek Mythology thrown in. Being a fan of mythology I enjoyed that plot element. However, I found the story to be confusing at first with the switching back and forth from different planet and all the characters that were introduced. I also felt that the action lagged at first because the characters spent too much time thinking and not enough doing. There's also some minor inconsistencies b...
