Hell On Wheels Odelia Grey Mysteries # 9 Genre: Mystery Publisher: Midnight Ink, November 2014 312 pages Book Source: Publisher via netgalley Odelia and her husband Greg are on a min-vacation attending a rugby match played by their quadriplegic friends. When a vicious opponent dies on the court their friend Rocky is accused of murder. Then when Rocky's wife Miranda turns up dead it's up to Odelia and friends to get to the bottom of the mystery. But is she out of her league? This is the first Odelia Grey mystery I have read but I'll certainly be reading more. It has a plucky, funny, chubby amateur detective with an intelligent, paraplegic husband. The mystery kept me interested and the plot flowed nicely. I love that the author chose a protagonist who embraces her curves.     Add it on Goodreads Buy it: Amazon / B&N About the author: Sue Ann Jaffarian is the author of the Odelia Grey Mysteries, The Ghost of Grannys Apples Mysteries, and ...

Of Merlot and Murder A Tangled Vines Mystery By: Joni Folger Genre: Mystery 288 pages Publisher: Midnight Ink- September 8, 2014 I received a copy from the publisher via netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. This is the second Tangled Vines Mystery and it's just as fun as the first one. When Elise and her family decide to help co-sponsor the Lost Pines Food and Wine Festival they didn't know they'd get tangled up in murder again. But when Elise's grandmother ends up at the murder scene of her rival Divia Larson Elise is determined to find the real killer. The book's plot kept me interested, the fledgling romance between Elise and Deputy Jackson Landry has plenty of chemistry, and Elise and her spunky family are fun. I look forward to more books in this series. 1/2 stars Get the book here: Midnight Ink / Amazon / B&N And add it on Goodreads Now shoo! Go on and get it! Lisa

But when photos appear showing Samantha and her latest fling, U.S. Rep. Quentin Wilson, she calls in Molly for some much-needed support. Before Molly and Samantha can investigate who sent the photos, Quentin is found dead in Samantha's living room in what appears to be a suicide. Meanwhile, the shadowy group behind the death of Molly's niece is crafting an insidious plan, and they'll stop at nothing, even murder, in their rise to power. My Thoughts: Filled with descriptive images of the season and the area, the author's writing style made me want to visit Washington,DC. The characters were interesting and the mystery and po...
