Synopsis:
This is Lewis's first published book. It was published in 1919 under the pseudonym Clive Hamilton. He was just 20 years old when it was published and before he became a Christian. The book contains three sections of poetry, with various styles but they share a common theme.
My Review:
While I thought his poetry was good I had a hard time reading it because some of it was dark and questioned God. I got the feeling he was angry but I could be wrong about that. He also writes about nature and mythology. He writes about nature being hard and cruel in some parts but in others he admires "her". While I didn't like all the poetry overall I enjoyed reading this work.

I don't think I've even heard of this particular book. It's so interesting to me that Lewis could have written anything particularly dark. I'll have to check it out sometime, even though I'm not the world's biggest poetry fan.
