My Thoughts:

I felt the love the author had for his wife coming through the pages as I read them. He shares his caregiving experiences from his wife's initial diagnosis to when she lost her battle with cancer. Mr. Pendergrass takes those experiences to give the reader help when navigating their own healthcare crises and to provide tips for avoiding burnout. He turned a devastating experience into something positive for others. I enjoyed reading it.  So, it's getting:

About the author:


Darryl Pendergrass is a life coach, people helper, and an information technology manager for a large telecommunications networking equipment provider. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree and certificates in general counseling, marriage counseling, and life coaching. In 2007, he became the primary caregiver for his wife who was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme – a stage 4 brain cancer. Throughout the nearly four-year ordeal, he received a crash course in caregiving, while advocating on his wife’s behalf. He learned many lessons through the experience and shares that knowledge with others in similar situations.
